About Us

Hi, I’m Justin Landis, the maker behind Landis Custom Woodworking. My interest in woodworking started when I was 14. I worked for a local lumber supply company, and I would take home scraps of wood to make my own cutting boards.

Those early projects gave me a chance to try things out and see what I could make. That is still what I enjoy most about woodworking: being creative, experimenting with new designs, and watching an idea come together.

Woodworking started as a hobby, and now I’m working toward turning it into a business. I want to keep that same hands-on, creative approach as I grow, making custom cutting boards and other wood pieces that people can use and enjoy.

My goal is to create custom pieces, from cutting boards to countertops and tables. If you have something in mind, I’d love to hear your ideas and talk about what we could make.

Thanks for stopping by and being part of this next chapter of Landis Custom Woodworking.

Board Care

Keep your handmade board looking its best by washing it by hand with mild soap and warm water. Dry it right away, and never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. When the wood starts to look dry, apply our custom board butter or another similar food-safe conditioner made for wooden cutting boards. Avoid extreme heat and let the board dry fully before storing.
